1) Who we are
HR Search Co provides executive search, leadership advisory, and related talent services to corporate clients. We process personal information about candidates, website visitors, client contacts, and other business partners as a controller/business under applicable laws.
2) Scope
This policy covers personal information processed by HR Search Co in the United States and, where applicable, internationally. Additional disclosures for residents of certain U.S. states (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia) and the European Economic Area/United Kingdom appear below.
3) Information we collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically from your device, and from third parties.
A. Information you provide directly
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company, job title, mailing address.
- Candidate application data: résumé/CV, cover letter, work history, education, skills, salary expectations, work preferences, assessment responses, interview recordings/notes, references, portfolio links.
- Sensitive information (only if provided or required): demographic information for equal opportunity reporting (optional), government identifiers where required for verification, and results of background checks subject to your consent and applicable law. We do not request or require protected health information.
- Client/billing data: contract details, billing contacts, purchase records, and payment-related information processed by our payment provider(s).
- Communications: inquiries, feedback, survey responses, and correspondence with our team.
B. Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, referring/exit pages, timestamps, and similar analytics.
- Device/technical data: IP address, browser type/version, operating system, device identifiers, cookie IDs, and approximate location derived from IP.
C. Information from third parties
- Recruitment sources: professional networking sites (e.g., LinkedIn), job boards, referrals, background screening vendors, assessment providers, and public records.
- Client sources: information provided by our clients about role requirements or candidate suitability.
4) How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services and our website.
- Source, evaluate, and recommend candidates for client opportunities.
- Communicate with you about opportunities, interviews, status, and feedback.
- Verify identity, work authorization, qualifications, and references.

- Business transfers in the event of a merger, sale, or other corporate transaction.
- Legal and safety recipients to comply with law, court orders, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information for money. In some jurisdictions, “sale” or “sharing” may include certain advertising or analytics disclosures; see your state/privacy rights below.
8) Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to pursue our legitimate business interests, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Typical retention periods include:
- Candidate records: up to 4 years from last interaction (or longer where legally required or with consent).
- Client and engagement records: for the duration of the relationship plus applicable limitation periods.
- Marketing records: until you opt out or after a period of inactivity (typically 24 months).
We may retain de‑identified or aggregated information indefinitely.
9) Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure; you use the Services at your own risk.
10) Your choices
- Marketing communications: You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
- Cookies/Tracking: Use browser settings or our consent tools (where provided) to manage preferences.
- Recruiting communications: Ask us to pause or stop contact about opportunities at any time.
11) Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Receive a portable copy of certain information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

12) U.S. state privacy disclosures (including California)
For residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and similar laws:
- We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 3.
- Purposes of use appear in Section 4; disclosures in Section 7.
- We may process sensitive personal information (e.g., demographic data for EEO reporting, background check results) solely for permitted purposes and do not use or disclose it to infer characteristics.
- We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may “share” personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising/targeted advertising as defined by law, which you can opt‑out of using the methods in Section 5 and by contacting us.
- We honor GPC signals where required.
- Right to limit SPI: Where available, you may request we limit our use of sensitive personal information to permitted purposes.
California “Shine the Light”: We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes without your consent.
13) EEA/UK data protection disclosures
If you are in the EEA or UK:
- Controller: HR Search Co is the controller for processing described in this Policy.
- International transfers: We may transfer your information to countries without equivalent data protection laws (e.g., the U.S.). When we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures as needed.
- Data subject rights: See Section 11. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
14) Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
15) Third‑party links and sites
